2009: Made 10 starts for the Valiants in his junior season … posted a 4-2 record with a 7.08 ERA in 48.1 innings of work … led the team with 35 strikeouts … earned his first win of the year by holding Susquehanna to one hit in five scoreless innings (3/7), then moved to 2-1 by scattering four hits in 6.1 innings against Juniata (3/11) … struck out a season-high six batters in a season-long seven-inning outing to earn the win at Wilkes (4/17) … recorded six punchouts the next time out in a win over DeSales (4/24).
2008: Appeared in 10 games with eight starts on the mound in his second season … went 4-3 with a 4.42 ERA in 53.0 innings of work … struck out 37 batters and held opponents to a .262 average … one of only three starting pitchers in the Freedom Conference to not allow a home run on the season … also recorded one save … got a no-decision in his first start of the year, striking out a career-high seven and giving up one earned run in six innings against Kean (3/2) … picked up a win in relief by giving up two runs in 3.1 innings versus Northwestern (Minn.) 2007: Led all freshman hurlers in appearances (10), starts (6), wins (4) and innings pitched (39.0) … went 4-2 with 4.85 ERA, finishing second overall on team in victories … struck out 17 and allowed 49 hits over course of season … fired two complete games and one shutout, one of only two shutouts thrown by a Valiant … picked up one save … held opposing baserunners to only five steals in eight attempts … went 2-0 in Skyline Conference games with two starts … allowed only one hit over two innings against nationally-ranked Cortland (3/23) … earned the start and allowed only one run over five innings at Eastern Connecticut State (3/28) … tossed shutout at Farmingdale State (4/21), allowing only four hits over seven innings and striking out two in a 5-0 Manhattanville win … started Championship Game of Skyline Conference Tournament and earned the win, allowing three runs over five solid innings. |
