Peekskill Robin's Report, September 2, 2009

Several Former Peekskill Robins have been promoted in Minor League Baseball recently as their respective teams prepare for the playoffs

Mike Gosse [2005[ from the University of Oklahoma was promoted to the Toledo Mud Hens of the AAA International League [ Detroit Tigers] He was most recently with the Western Michigan Tigers of the Midwest League and was batting .261

Eric Smith [2007] of the University of Rhode Island, was promoted to the South Bend Silver Hawks of the Midwest League. The Milford Ct, Resident was taken in the 2009 Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2nd Round and had been the Highest Draft Pick for the Robins since their inception.

Nelson Gomez [2008] of Keystone College was promoted to the Visalia Rawhide of the California League. Gomez was the 21st round pick of the Diamondbacks in 2008 and was batting .248 at South Bend.
