Peekskill Robin's Report, August 20th, 2009

In the Can Am Independent League this afternoon, 2 Former Peekskill Robins were involved in a trade. The New Jersey Jackels re signed David Qualben [2004] and promptly traded him along with cash and a player to be named later for Nick Asselin [2005] who is currently one of the league's leading pitchers with a 10-6 record. Qualben, who played for Pace University, was drafted by the Houston Astros in 2006 while Asselin, who played for Boston College, was signed as a Free Agent by the New York Yankees in 2008. In other news, Matt Gianini [2006] is currently with the First Place Alexandria Aces of the Continental Baseball League and has a 2-2 record in 26 innings pitched in relief.
