Peekskill Robin's Report, July 9, 2009
Behind the Solid Pitching of Harry Glynne, the Peekskill Robins defeated the Northern N.J. Eagles 2-1 on Wednesday Evening at Peekskill Stadium on Big League Chew Night. The Hamden Ct. Native went the distance giving up only 5 hits in 9 innings pitched while raising his Season Record to 3-1. With the game tied at 1-1 going into the bottom of the 8th inning, Quentin Luquette led off with an infield single, which was his 2nd hit of the game. After being sacrificed to second base by Mike McDonnell, Tommy Meade then hit a double to right center field which scored Luquette with the Deciding Run. This was also Meade's 2nd hit of the game. This evening, Peekskill will be in action at Dutchess Stadium which is the home of the Hudson Valley Renegades for a 7pm contest vs the New Jersey Collegiate All Stars. The Robins then return home for a 5pm doubleheader on Sunday vs the Quakertown Blazers.
