Our mission is to provide an environment where each team
member is accountable to his teammates for his
development and personal growth as an individual and as
a baseball player. We strive to teach the game of
baseball, to help each achieve their full potential in
life, and to learn the keys to winning: Hard work,
dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship. We value
respect for our teammates, our coaches, our families,

Three Robins earn Post Season Awards

The Peekskill Robins were well represented in the ACBL's Post Season Award Categories for the 2008 Season:
Brock Whiteman of Muskingum College won the batting title with a .371 average with 48 hits, 13 doubles, 2 home runs, and 24 RBI. He was also named Most Valuable Player this spring in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Tom Moran of Manhattan College won the Relief Pitcher's Award by making 20 appearances with a 6-0 record, 1.61 ERA and 52 strikouts in 50 innings pitched. This past spring, he led the Jaspers with a 3-1 record and team leading 2.75 ERA.
Blake Cover of the University of Nebraska- Kearney was named the Robins recipient of the Jeff Gallagher Sportsmanship Award. This was Cover's 2nd year with the team and he exemplified the true meaning of being a good teammate. The Nebraska native hit .242 for Peekskill this season and batted .356 for the Lopers this spring with 82 hits, 11 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, and 52 RBI.
The Robins congratulate all 3 players for their achievements.

Gianakas signs with Orioles

Derek Gianakas who was a member of the 2005 Robins and 2006 New Jersey Pilots recently signed a Free Agent contract with the Baltimore Orioles and reported to their Rookie Team in the Gulf Coast League.

Robins lose to Whalers as season ends

The Peekskill Robins lost 3-0 to the Hampton Whalers on Sunday thus putting an end to their 2008 season.
In this game the Robins were only able to scratch out 2 singles off the bat of catcher Brian Benes as Andrew Guarresi was dominant as he held a perfect game going into the 6th inning before Benes got the 1st of his 2 hits.

The Peekskill Robins won their final regular season game with a 12-4 victory over the New York Metro Cadets and finish the year tied for 2nd place in the Kaiser Division Standings. On Sunday at 4pm in Sag Harbor N.Y., Peekskill will play a single elimination game with the Hampton Whalers with the winner advancing to play the Metro Cadets in a best of 3 series beginning at 7pm monday at St. Johns.
